*Rescheduling from Sat. due to fog, cold & drizzle, we may have missed some drivers due to short notice for Sunday, but gained those looking for clear, sunny skies & warm weather. Good call !! It was perfect in the 70's.
*Six cars & 10 people made the trip thru Driftwood, Wimberley, Blanco for an early lunch, Luckenbach & Fredericksburg to stop & Xmas shop.
*Hardcore road lovers took new roads from Crabapple (a real place) to Willow City for cold one @Harry's (the only place). Then the scenic Willow City Loop wound around it's canyon & other changing landscapes drawing ...ooohs & ....aaahs.
*Meeting up w/the Fredericksburg shoppers, we arrived @The Silver K Cafe @5pm in Johnson City for a reserved table & leisurely dinner. By 6:30pm the Xmas light displays, all in short walking distance @the City Park, Court House, town square bldgs, Perdernales Electric grounds/annexes (est.4 million+ lights there alone !!) where Santa & Mrs.Clause were seeing the little ones, Main St, shops, restaurants, bars, horse drawn carriages & neighborhoods were all ablaze. Colder by then, it was hot chocolate time before heading home quickly, safely & deer free by Hwy 290.
