*Forecasts for an explosion of wild flowers drew a good-sized group for this annual spring event we shared w/the ever-dependable Z Club Event VP, Charlie Cluck. Networking with other clubs, sites & the recent Statesman club profile article on TexasRxs drew a larger mixed group w/some new visiting friends & coming members.
*11 cars, RXs, Zs, Crossfire cnvts, Cobras, a Cobra Daytona Coupe & a BMW Z3 made a very nice looking line-up from a total of 5 clubs. Charlie set the date, led the drive & found a great off-the radar restaurant. I supplied the backroad route, & Ted Schenk, 3rd gen. RX7/LS2V-8 owner & TexasRxs member, brought his "entourage" (his term).
*By 10:30am take-off from 2244/71 in Bee Caves, Temps were a nice 70F & skies were blue with lots of white clouds; nice day !! We took all the best roads to Hamilton Pool, Sandy & Willow City. Tall, full bloom blue, yelow, red, white, purple & orange wild flowers were out everywhere along the roadside & in the meadows. Bluebonnets were the largest group by far.
*Past overflowing Harry's Place, the scenic Loop was crowded, but we moved steadily along past the canyon to several good photo stops & then to historic Fredericksburg.
*Lunch turned out to be an surprise treat. After "extensive research" & a personal pre-visit, Charlie found *Taqueria Altos De Jalisco* Mexican Restaurant. Off the radar, just outside the jammed downtown area & as the web reviews promised, it was really excellent, especially the flan.
*More blooms all along the back way home past Perdernales Falls State Park & along Fitzhugh Rd. ended the day in colorful style.
*Welcome to the new friends/visitors who came & thanks to Charlie for another memorable drive. Send pics; Randall will post.

With a lucky break in the weather, 8 Z, RX, Miata & Mustang drivers, 12 people in all, showed for this one. Charlie Cluck (Z Club Planner) led us on more of his unknown roads in the boonies by memory !! Senglemann Hall (www.SengelmannHall.com) in Schulenburg was an 1880'a brick/stone saloon/bawdy house, now a restored restaurant/dance hall.
They had a big table waiting for us, food was good, drinks & beer cold. After quick tour after lunch of the old bldg. & upstairs dance hall, more country roads. We stopped @Cindy's Gone Hog Wild for a few cold ones; home by 4pm.
A good trip as usual w/Charlie; new places, faces & old friends. Thanks again !!

Marc, the Supra Club guy, did it again. About 50 cars of all kind, 60+people total, gathered @Highland Mall to visit. At 11am, we headed to the County Line for reserved tables & killer BBQ from 12-1pm.
About 1:30 pm, groups left for Lime Creek, 1431 & Marble Falls to gather again. Some went home thru Johnson City & 2766 (Fitzhugh Rd) to Cabela's Sat. night car show. The rest took 1431 back to drop off points.
Perfect weather; good mixed group. Thanks for organizing this again Marc. SEE PICS @(www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=580939).
