| How do I join TexasRxs? What are my benefits etc.? |

| Welcome to TexasRxs.org, the official website of the TexasRxs Car Club of Austin. We are Austin's one and only car club dedicated to the marvel that is the rotary engine. We have members from all different walks of life, all different ages, and all different levels of enthusiasm and knowledge about our beloved cars and what makes them go. We have events practically every weekend and we also meet once a month to go over club business and catch up on what's going on in each other's lives. We welcome visitors and prospective members to our meetings and events but to get the full benefit of the club we encourage regular participants to register and pay dues. We use club dues strictly for club related activities and necessities as we are a strictly non-profit gathering of enthusiasts and not a business by any means. Please read below to see a comparison of what paid members are eligible for as opposed to non-paid members: Members who are current on their dues are eligible for the following items- 1. Club membership/I.D. card - (required for receiving benefits/prvileges from our sponsors) 2. Discounts - -Parts, Service, Merchandise. -Accomodations,hotels,parks. -Tracks,facilities,instructors. -Events,fees,tickets. -Car insurance 3.Meetings - Monthly Giveaways Vote etc. 4.Club Officer/Member of Committee - plan,set policy 5.Merchandise -Club,Official Mazda -Caps,T-Shirts,Sweats,Keychains,schwag -Custom items 6.Events -Official scheduled,multi club -Regional: Club discount,Staff,planning,Event leader,volunteer, etc. 7.Clinics -Maintenance at dealerships -Performance at rotary shops 8. Driving Schools -street,highway,performance,track,facility,instructor lead etc. 9.Web Site -Member's only section, posting privileges etc. Non members are not eligible for any of the above mentioned benefits or discounts etc. Furthermore we may make fun of them and ridicule them until they change their mind...HAH..just kidding! Please read below for our club dues schedule: (Just for comparison, we receive 10-15% off purchases at the Discount Tire Co. located at the corner or Braker and Burnet, when you think about how much tires cost nowadays, just that one purchase alone already pays your dues, not to mention we are picking up new sponsors all the time.) Individual-Single 1st time $30.00 renewal-$25.00 Family - $40.00 renewal-$35.00 We offer discounts of 5 dollars off each category for Active Military, full time student, seniors etc. and there is no limit on number of vehicles. To join please print out a membership form available by clicking HERE Fill it out, and bring it to one of our events or monthly meetings with a check or money order for your dues and prepare yourself to enjoy tons of benefits, fun places to drive to, and loads of good times with other folks who share your passion for our wonderul automobiles. (On a side note, we do not restrict our membership solely to Rx's, we welcome any and all sports car enthusiasts, regardless of what you drive, to join us in the fun.) |
